Stawowski McGill facilitates sale of Plains Fabrication to Alstar Oilfield Contractors LTD

After more than 30 years as our client and friend, Plains Fabrication was recently acquired by Alstar Oilfield Contractors LTD. Stawowski McGill was proudly involved in preparing Plains Fabrication for the sale and facilitating the transaction.

Over the years, Stawowski McGill helped Plains Fabrication with all financial and business strategy and planning throughout their very successful career, including securing equity financing which went on to fund the purchase and construction of Plains’ 90,000 sq. ft. shop and office location. The sale of the company was Stawowski McGill’s final, and most important job. They ensured that all planning and financial modelling was in place for Plains Fabrication to receive the best possible value for their business, and they did. Alstar Oilfield Contractors LTD. were looking to gain a foothold in the Calgary market to expand their fabrication capabilities in Alberta. With over a quarter century of experience in the industry, Plains’ expertise and reach in the industry were exactly what Alstar was looking for.

“After 30+ years of business collaboration with the team at Plains Fabrication, including our assistance with financing their newest state of the art fabrication facility, it was our pleasure to represent the company during its transition to new owners Alstar Oilfield Contractors Ltd,” said Stan Stawowski, Partner at Stawowski McGill. “We wish both management teams all the best in reaching their future goals, and feel confident they will be successful in their future endeavors.”
