David Hird, CPA, CA

Senior Advisor

David believes that the only way to measure your success, is to measure the impact you have on the lives of others. We interact with people everyday. Some interactions are with people you know, important meetings, making important decisions. Some interactions are small, paying the grocery clerk for your purchase. Make all of those interactions count, make them positive, make a difference.

David has 35 years of public accounting experience with owner managed businesses across several industries. With his best clients, the discussion was not about the historical financial statements or the tax returns, it was about the business challenges and opportunities the client was facing. Real discussions about how to move the business, and the owner, forward in meeting their corporate and personal goals. In the latter part of his career in public accounting, David managed the Calgary office of a national accounting firm working with his partners to develop and execute the business plan to move the business forward, meeting the challenges and realizing the opportunities to meet the goals of the team, his partners, as well as his own business and personal goals.

When he is not working, David enjoys golfing, hiking, snowshoeing, biking, movies, and travelling with his partner in life Suzanne.
